How do I sign up? Please visit the Calendar page and simply click on the date of the session that you would like to attend. This will take all the information that you need to reserve your seat. Note that full payment is necessary at the time of registration to reserve your spot.
Canceling for your class No refunds are issued as payment but if you decide to need to cancel you must do so at least 48 hours prior to class starting. In doing so we will credit your account and you can apply your credit to another class!
Inclement weather We intend on holding classes during inclement weather. If there are extreme or extenuating circumstances that warrant us to cancel a class, we will notify everyone via the telephone number and/or email address on file in as much advanced notice as possible. If your class is canceled, you will be issued a credit to attend a class on a different day.
When should I arrive? Doors will be open 30 minutes prior to each class starting. This will give you plenty of time to get settled in and select a drink. If you want to ensure that your group sits together be sure to have someone from your group get there early enough to “save” the seats. We do not save seats for you.
What kinds of drinks do we offer? We have a selection of wine, beer, n/a beverages as well as coffee for purchase. You are not permitted to bring beverages of any kind.
What age do you need to be to paint? To attend a night class at Sip & Canvas you must be 15 years of age. All morning and day classes are open to anyone 6 and older.
Where should I park? There is parking available on the street as well as a parking lot located behind the building. All of the local parking is free.
How many can we accommodate? Our studio seats 36 artists.
Will my Painting be dry enough to take home? Yes! The Paint dries to touch in about 30 min. But to expedite the process we do have a drying station to give your painting an extra dry feel if needed.
Can I bring my own supplies? Sure, however there is no difference in your session fee.
Can we reserve the studio for a private event? YES! To reserve the studio the cost is a minimum of $360 for up to 12 people. The full $360 is required even if there are less than 12 people attending your event. For every person over 12 people, it is an additional $30. You may bring your own snacks and decorations and cake, but no drinks; these must be purchased at our studio. We are happy to assist you in planning for your event. Please contact us for further ways to make your event special.
May we schedule a Birthday Event for a Child? Yes, most definitely. Children’s parties are ages 6 – 15. To reserve the studio the cost is $250 minimum for 10 children. Additional painters will be $25. We do provide party supplies, including tablecloth, plastic ware and paper plates. A child’s beverage is also included. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, cake, and decorations.
Are there things to do near by the studio? YES! We encourage that you take advantage of your night out with us in Downtown Glens Falls. Within walking distance you can dine at several fantastic local restaurants, visit the Brew pub, or check out some of the events that take place at the Civic Center. For the daytime guest, you may also check out the Charles Wood Theater, Crandall Library, Larac’s Lapham Art Gallery, World Children’s Museum, The Chapman Museum and the Hyde Collection. Don’t forget to visit the neat and unique shops and boutiques that downtown also has to offer.
Should I tip? Our professional artists work hard to make your night out a memorable one! Although it is not necessary, if you feel that they delivered on our goal of providing you with the best social and fun experience possible, tips are appreciated.
